[35] Early Summer - 2006/06/28 (Wed)

It's been really hot lately, hasn't it?
Move just a little, and you're drenched in sweat...

The body produces sweat, the metabolism climbs, and
so it is a good thing for the body, but
the smell is something else altogether...

Of course, you can use perfume, but
usually when you use perfume, you become
even more sensitive to the smell,
that
of other people as well as your own.

Therefore, I have a recommendation for this season.

There are, of course, all kinds of deodorants and anti-stink medications out there...

Etiquette is an important matter for men, too, and so,
in olden days, if they had a date that day, they would fan themselves all day.

But, they didn't have deodorant, so even if they sweat a little, they'd fail, right?
No matter how many times they fanned themselves, it was no good, and they carried around a bad smell.
So even inefficiant products were prized.

So then, how many years before the spray was discovered, *
and suddenly it seemed like, one blast in the morning and you're good to go!
This is what was written, so, well,
people gave it try, weary that they were being deceived.

Then, Wait! This super effective!
One blast in the morning, and even in the evening,
there's still
not any odor. It was a revolution.
Sure enough as soon as it went on sale, it was a big hit.

Please without fail, use etiquette.
NO body odor. Then, even if you do sweat,
when you're
inside a packed train, and
no matter
how close you get to your girlfriend or boyfriend,
you won't be anxious.

Also, people who don't practice etiquette, even if you're not aware of the smell of sweat,
you
should try it once. People might start visiting you more often. (^_^)

P.S. Really, packed trains in summer are a good place to practice it...
just start handing out spray to everybody on the train. (^_^)

[ * this line's not exactly right, but i'm pretty sure on the basic meaning. the lovely chaps over at sci.lang.japan are helping me out w/ the nuances. i think i'm going to have to buy those people a fruit basket or some cookies or something... (^_^) ]
