[169] Extremely... - 2006/11/06 (Mon)

I'm beginning an extremely sudden 'Drink A Lot of Water plan,
and my quota is 3 litres a day. (^^;)

Well, because I usually drink Contrex,
when it comes to Volvic, it feels like easy victory. (^_^) *

This, but with the start of this drinking plan, it was intense intense,
and I couldn't put 3 litres of water in my body.

I try hard and drink it all, but thanks to that,
before I got to sleep every night, my stomach makes a tapotapo noise... **

P.S. Then after I do get to sleep, I inevitably wake up at least once...
to go to the bathroom. (^^;)

[ * contrex coming in 1.5 litre bottles, and volvic coming in .5 litre bottles.
** tapotapo being defined as "a sound like tapping a soft belly." ... i'm not even sure we've got onomatopoeia for that in english. maybe "squish?" ]

[168] My Beloved Car... - 2006/11/04 (Sat)

When I eat at Akafuku, it brings back memories of the strange old days...
Speaking of, I used to go all over the place on my bike.

Back then, we got together a team of bike-loving friends,
and oh man, every every week, my day off was concentrated on touring.
At the beginning, we went to see things like the beach at the end of the season (always good),
and we drove up famous moutains, and we went sight seeing,
but as the number of times heaped up, gradually we ran out of nearby places to go.
We didn't have enough for gas back then, so we couldn't use the freeway.

And so we'd gotten to the bottom of the well of places we could go,
and so instead, a new battle cry was born: let's go somewhere to eat!

At Akafuku, too, the group was eventually reduced to one, but it seemed like, for example,
'I want to eat some tasty udon.'
'I'm going to Sanki for some udon.'
'I'm going to eat some Sanki udon right now.'
Of course, I was cutting it close on a day trip to Kagawa... (^_^)

The team in those days taught me, and these days, it's almost raining bikes.
The hobby grew on me, and I managed a bike store with my friend.
If the day comes that I get to ride again, I'll definitely do a touring diary...

[167] Heeey~ (^_^) - 2006/11/04 (Sat)

He's been kidnapped-...

As it is, he's being taken away to somewhere... Bat-kun...

(It's Batman Bubble Bath, a present from a friend.)

... Hello bubble bath!

[166] ankoromochi~ * - 2006/11/03 (Fri)

I got a 'Good Luck' present.
Yes~, so dear...
Because I got to finally eat after a while.

Oh yes, in old times, in the seasons where I rode a bike,
I would confirm with humor
'It tastes fresh like the head office at Ise,'
With my colleagues mated in those days, I had gone all the way to the Grand Shrine at Ise especially to eat.
Of course, I could do some touristing at the same time...

I didn't really know what fresh was,
so I was deeply moved by everything,
saying, "Oh, this is what fresh tastes like?" (^_^)

People in the Ise suburbs should really give it a try once.

P.S. When I hear Ankoromochi, it makes me think of the Japanese folk tale...

[165] They used to be popular (^_^) - 2006/11/02 (Thu)

While DoCoMoDAKE was on the rise. * (^^;)
Every day I have grand delusions of Autumn Colors. (bwahahah)

The weather's been clear nationwide for the holidays... ** For people who have the chance to go out and take some pictures,
even if the colors aren't changing to Autumn Colors, please, get off the beaten path,
touch nature, bathe in the many Minus Ions,
have a tasty meal, get out to a hot spring,
and wave goodbye to your normal stressful situations.
That is the important meaning of photography...

And it will make me considerably jealous. (^_^)

Setting aside the jokes, don't get yourself hurt while off take photos.
If you fall off a cliff or something while peeping through your viewfinder, your mountaintop disaster
will not be funny.
Please leave behind memories of a good trip after all your work. (*hope*)

P.S. Incidentally, my cell phone is an au model... sorry DoCoMo dake. (^_^) ***

[ * docomo is japan's major cell phone brand, and the little 'shrooms are their mascot. the name "docomodake" literally means "only docomo" and the word "docomo" (although normally romanised w/ a K instead of a C) means "everywhere."
** nov 3 is Culture Day in japan

*** au phones TOTALLY ROCK, and i'm not just
saying that because i'm a YOU fangirl. i'm also a keitai otaku and if you are, too, here's their english website: http://www.au.kddi.com/english/product/index.html. if you want to see the latest (and quite stunningly awesome) models, you can check here: http://www.au.kddi.com/collection/06autumn/ although it's in japanese. ]

[164] Huuu... - 2006/11/01 (Wed)

Daikon cosplay... (bwahahah!)

Did everybody get a bunch of candy?
I had to pay my own way, so I bought a KitKat. (^^;)

Well, to my mind, it felt like 'Trick or Treat' anyway. (^_^)

P.S. I seriously felt like pulling off some Halloween cosplay, but...
there just wasn't enough prep time... (>_<)

[163] Halloween Week - 2006/10/31 (Tue)

The world is Halloween. The whole city is stuffed with pumpkins. (^_^)
However, Halloween culture isn't seriously established in Japan.
Compared with the climax of Christmas, it's not very much...

If you really think about it, maybe this thing we call Halloween started out as Cosplay?
If Halloween keeps gaining more popularity, and becomes a day for nationwide cosplay
I think that would be a seriously fun event...

I would love to see that... The entire city cosplaying...
The fads in Akiba right now would be dispatched nationwide...
Of course, people could cosplay as they'd like, not just as witches and monsters.
That would be absolutely hysterical...

Oh oh, speaking of monster cosplay,
that reminds me of when I was in junior high,
and we all dressed up as zombies
for the haunted mansion in our culture festival. (^^;)
Of my own accord, I took my mother's make up set, and did up my face...

If there is Halloween culture like back then, we should be able to get a tons of candy. (^_^)

P.S. We're anxiously awaiting everybody's Halloween stories.

[162] A Small Fall Discovery (^_^) - 2006/10/30 (Mon)

Not much left of the season of Autumn Colors, hm...
Every year I feel like my sense of the seasons gets a little stranger.
Speaking of, didn't the summer, too, end with a short little Ah, and nothing but rain?
The kind of lingering summer heat was kind of hot...

Ah, I want to go and take some early photos for the photography contest...
Every day I'm sorely tempted, but my schedule thing is strict. (^^;)

P.S. Yesterday's post... Did everybody like it? (^_^)

[note: the daikon's little friend is a kinoko, a mushroom, in this case, the mascot of the DoCoMo cell phone company. ]

[161] Uhhh... (^^;) 2006/10/29 (Sun)

I picked him up, and commented very worridly,
saying WHAT? (^_^)

My opinion changed from 'YIKES~!!'
and transformed into 'It would be something like this!' ...

But, because he was inside a present, i ended up picking him up right from the start. (^^;)
'Mokkori' ... * It was strangely endearing.
Well, a sensation only understood by a man, I guess. (^_^)

P.S. What the heck might MARIMO be... MARIMO's pretty troublesome, too. (^_^) **

[ * mokkori refers to a bulge or tent in a man's pants caused by an erection. (^_^)
** marimo is a spherical type of algae.
note: this translation is so loose, i'm a little embarrassed to post it. basically, the entire thing is a big penis joke... (^^;) also, HA! i'm back! finally! ... not that i can promise any kind of regularity, but still, at least i've gotten something up... (¬.¬) ]

12 December 2006

ok...

more than a month later, and i'm sure some of you are ready to stab me with a spork. here, in short, is what's happening:

Real Life (tm)

yeah, basically, my life is getting in the way of translating, which actually sucks, because tomorrow, YOU announces the winners of his second photo contest, and he's got the cutest picture of his little daikon chap from the other day. plus, he's MCing that chimera-crew dance contest on the 16th, so if he's not nervous already, i'm sure he will be soon.

i'll try and squeeze in some time and put a few of em up this evening. i have some of the more recent ones already translated, so i guess if no one objects, i could put them up out of order, but it kinda feels like cheating when i do that.

anyhow, sorry there's such a delay everybody, i know you're looking forward to reading YOU's diary.
