This is a sound and image check DVD.
Using this DVD, you can adjust the image on your screen.

For people who have no idea what I'm talking about, on your TV,
there are dials for brightness, hue, color,
things like that, right? You can tamper with them.

Well, normal people would say
'Yeah, and?' (^_^)
but the other day, when I went to adjust the TV at a friend's house,
my friend was incredulous. 'Hey, this is really good~'
he said, admiring.

People obsessed with home theaters should really give it a try.

Nesmith-kun is a recent friend.
For someone as amazingly shy as me, I don't
just go up and talk to people I don't already know,
but my first meeting with him blossomed into a conversation about PC nerdiness,
and it was great.
That's the kind of freak I call a friend. (^_^)

Nesu-kun is going to a meeting at a certain martial arts hall tomorrow
where a certain famous group is holding public vocal auditions.
He's got a good voice, and he's good at music, and he's truly a nice guy,
so I really hope he makes it.
I already gave him some encouragement over the phone,
but one more time,

'GO FOR IT~ I will pray that you pass without fail~'

You drink it?

The first time I drank Sapuri *
I was hooked.

Gradually, the variety of things that are supposed to be
good for my body are multiplying.

In my 7 year history with Sapuri
there was one period of time where I was
drinking it with a cup on either hand. (^^;)

Usually, I don't usually drink stuff like Sapuri excessively,
and, well, it's got a troublesome odor,
so these days, I keep
the kinds I drink to the bare minimum.

Oh yeah, as for the amino acid in the photo,
a friend of mine who was an actor many years ago said to me,
'I heard Olympic atheletes drink this,'
and ever since then, it's been a necessary drink before performances.
You can test it effectiveness for yourself,
and various other drinks, too, but, well, nothing else...
Ah! Your hair and fingernails will grow really fast. (^_^)
That's amino acids. (^_^)

The image is of amino acids and muscles,
but things like beautiful skin and diet have a big effect on making a beautiful face,
so people who are concerned about it should definitely try it out. (^_^)

P.S. One day passes and the fatigue comes...

Today I was supported by everyone's affection.
Truly thank you.

I myself couldn't speak (^^;)
so I couldn't MC even a little bit (BIG (^^;) )
but the event itself was splendid.
The level of dance was incredible.
It seemed like Mm? Is it really a contest?...

The next meeting in Osaka will be fun, too.
I sincerely hope that this meeting becomes
the type that produces future pros.

However, there were probably a lot of people who had never been to a club before.
When you say it like that, I haven't really been to many myself, but...

The music and set are different from the play,
but I think it's extremely close to the live stage version.

but it's been a while since I've gone,
so it was nice to see it after such a long time.
Today, I was variously diligent. (^_^)

Speaking of, there's a movie called Kamata Koushinkyou, too. (Wha? Old?)
I remember seeing it on TV when I was very young, but I really wanted to see it one more time.
I shall decide! Saturdays are for theater. (^_^)

It's been so many years since my friend came over to play.
My friend is a guitarist just like me,
and we felt like we should finally get together and do something,
so he came over and we played musical instruments together.

The software on the screen is called 'ProTools'
and with it you can make tunes when recording at a house or somewhere like that.

PCs are amazing, you know, we live in a wonderful era. (*looks off into the distance.*)

Well, the world is getting rapidly more convenient,
the fine arts threshold is rapidly lowering,*
a great diversity of creators are rapidly appearing.
Go for it! It's a nation of artists! (^_^)

Yesterday was refresing, hm... (^^;)
I tell this story all the time, but...

Well, every once in a while, I'll come across
the word 'headphone' on the BBS,
and so today, I'll introduce the headphones I usually use.

People who aren't able to listen to music at large volumes because of housing circumstances,
and people who want to enjoy their music on the commute to school or work,
various people are helped out
by their headphones, I think.

Even so, the world of headphones is deep,
and if you're too particular about it, you'll be straight on course for bankruptcy. (^_^)
Don't you wonder what kind of headphones people
who make a living from sound might use?

The 'SONY MDR-CD900ST' in the photo
probably really could be usedin a recording studio.
The artist who wants to reproduce the studio enviroment as much as possible
inevitably would turn to these headphones.

Of course, if you ask of these headphones,
'Do they sound good?'
Well, with absolute flat balance,
indeed you get the feeling of working in music,
but I think that these are for the person who wants to hear delicate sounds.
It doesn't matter which genre you're listening to...

People who waste lots of money on headphones,
people who are puzzled by sounds they want to hear,
and also those how have standard headphones can use these!

Incidentally, because they're indended for pro use, the connection jack is of the phone type,
so if you want to use it with an iPod or such, you'll need a mini jack adapter.

Ah..., another lullaby?... Careful careful... (^_^)

[97] Otaku Talk vol 1 - 2006/08/28 (Mon)

As for today's photograph, you might
be thinking, what is it?

I used to think that audio otakus
were scattered,
but maybe that's just because I've been
addicted to audio cables for so long.

These electric cables are but one part
of those in my collection.

Well, from an ordinary person's point of view,
it probably gives of that kind of Cable? Why? feeling, but
sounds and things change with the cable in an interesting way.

Often, there are those red-white pin cables attached to machines?
And then there are electric cables and things that you can attach and remove.
Those are the types of cables I upgrade.

For example, if you've got some audio machinery and the sound quality is doing well,
and you've got some image machinery and the image quality is doing well,
I think, what changes should I make, hm?

What? What if the power goes out...
Well, then, there are many parts that are impossible to understand,
but, it's probably because I don't understand that I'm addicted...

Originally, it began with
guitar cables. Things sounded alright.

But, after various tests,
I tried changing the audio cables.
Of course, at the beginning, it was my CD player...,
the attached red and white cables were about 2000 yen for 1 m.

Then, to my surprise, the sound changed,
and the high tones and the low tones were much better than before.
Well, that was my fate, I guess... (^^;)

After that, I was taken with the magical power of the cable,
and from the machinery at work to the whole family of electrical appliances,
I changed upgradable parts on just about everything.
In extreme cases, I even changed things like the TV antenna
(because it's used for audio) (^^;)

At best, with electric lines..., i'm not too fusy about...
By the way, in this world, cable otaku stuff,
it's called 'Electric Line Disease.' (^_^)
Surely, I am a Electric Line Disease victim! ... (T_T)

People who are interested in something, please Google it.
The seriously maniacal world is waiting. (^_^)

but, if I go on like this it'll turn into a lullaby,

Why are people fascinated by the sea...?

This movie, along with things like Nikita, Leon, Fifth Element
is the breakthrough work of famous director Luc Besson.

The director himself had dreams of becoming an ocean biologist, but it seems that because of
a diving accident, he had to give it up. But as a person who knows the ocean,
he can overwhelm you with his dispiction of the extrodinary beauty of the sea.
