[172] I went to a gourmet party!! - 2006/11/08 (Wed)

I went to a meal with Shirota-kun (blog http://ameblo.jp/sirota/). It was the so-called 'Magic Line.' *

Because we hit it off so well last time, we said 'Let's have a meal next time!'
but we hadn't met in quite a while,
and today by chance I had two hours free,
and thought to myself, 'I'd like to invite Shirota-kun over,
but didn't he say he had a TV program to do on Wednesay?'
Then, also by chance, there was a communication, 'I've got a lunch interview for
Wheelchair life info magazine "wawawa," but if you don't mind, you can join us...'

Are you serious? What an amazing coincidence, but... (^^;)

Well, I went, of course, to Nishiazubu.
We ate at a place called 'YunYun' **
where we had their special tenshin ***
that they just introduced last year. (http://r.gnavi.co.jp/a237418/)
This place's tenshin were made from uncooked dough,
and they're particular about not using any preservtives or additives.

Well, they tasted wonderful.
While Shirota-kun gave his interview, a certain someone just ate in silence. (^^;)
Actually, I liked the tenshin quite a lot. Can I just eat all kinds of these one after the other?
I particularly liked the steaming lobster gyoza. It gave me that huffing puffing feeling. (^_^)

Once again it was a feast. It tasted great! (^_^)
We kept talking, and we were truly at ease,
but unforunately, I had work to do, and I had to deny myself some Oolong tea. (T_T)

I want to go to a gourmet party again. (^_^)

P.S. It should be a snap for me to win, but somehow I feel like I lost. (^_^)
Really large...

[ * i'm really not sure if that's right at all, but i can't find any definitions or clues on google, so... (shrug) i'll keeping looking.
** written w/ kanji that literally means "cloud art" the modern pronunciation would be "un-un." written as YunYun, it's got an ancient styling. you should visit the site, it looks like a very relaxing place.

[171] Another Discovery... - 2006/11/08 (Wed)

All I'm saying is...? (^_^)
What the heck do I do all night...? (^_^)

But the Cupies are amazing, aren't they?
I just think of Tarako-chan,
and before I know it, they've got a Cupie version...
Sponge cake, Mt. Fuji, mackerel... There's one of every kind...

Could you please see clear to making a Daikon version, too? (^^;)

Ah..., I'd like to see a panda, too... Although I think there's one already.

[170] Not so clever... - 2006/11/07 (Tue)

Today, since I haven't had to get up early in a long time,
I am extremely sleepy...

I'm really tired, so I tried lining up
all the Cupies I've been given.

When you gather up this much stuff, you should probably arrange them nicely. (^_^)
What I mean is, this many of one thing... (^^;)

P.S. These days, people who have Marimokkori cell phone straps, aren't there a lot?
I see more and more strange sights...

[169] Extremely... - 2006/11/06 (Mon)

I'm beginning an extremely sudden 'Drink A Lot of Water plan,
and my quota is 3 litres a day. (^^;)

Well, because I usually drink Contrex,
when it comes to Volvic, it feels like easy victory. (^_^) *

This, but with the start of this drinking plan, it was intense intense,
and I couldn't put 3 litres of water in my body.

I try hard and drink it all, but thanks to that,
before I got to sleep every night, my stomach makes a tapotapo noise... **

P.S. Then after I do get to sleep, I inevitably wake up at least once...
to go to the bathroom. (^^;)

[ * contrex coming in 1.5 litre bottles, and volvic coming in .5 litre bottles.
** tapotapo being defined as "a sound like tapping a soft belly." ... i'm not even sure we've got onomatopoeia for that in english. maybe "squish?" ]

[168] My Beloved Car... - 2006/11/04 (Sat)

When I eat at Akafuku, it brings back memories of the strange old days...
Speaking of, I used to go all over the place on my bike.

Back then, we got together a team of bike-loving friends,
and oh man, every every week, my day off was concentrated on touring.
At the beginning, we went to see things like the beach at the end of the season (always good),
and we drove up famous moutains, and we went sight seeing,
but as the number of times heaped up, gradually we ran out of nearby places to go.
We didn't have enough for gas back then, so we couldn't use the freeway.

And so we'd gotten to the bottom of the well of places we could go,
and so instead, a new battle cry was born: let's go somewhere to eat!

At Akafuku, too, the group was eventually reduced to one, but it seemed like, for example,
'I want to eat some tasty udon.'
'I'm going to Sanki for some udon.'
'I'm going to eat some Sanki udon right now.'
Of course, I was cutting it close on a day trip to Kagawa... (^_^)

The team in those days taught me, and these days, it's almost raining bikes.
The hobby grew on me, and I managed a bike store with my friend.
If the day comes that I get to ride again, I'll definitely do a touring diary...

He's been kidnapped-...

As it is, he's being taken away to somewhere... Bat-kun...

(It's Batman Bubble Bath, a present from a friend.)

... Hello bubble bath!

[166] ankoromochi~ * - 2006/11/03 (Fri)

I got a 'Good Luck' present.
Yes~, so dear...
Because I got to finally eat after a while.

Oh yes, in old times, in the seasons where I rode a bike,
I would confirm with humor
'It tastes fresh like the head office at Ise,'
With my colleagues mated in those days, I had gone all the way to the Grand Shrine at Ise especially to eat.
Of course, I could do some touristing at the same time...

I didn't really know what fresh was,
so I was deeply moved by everything,
saying, "Oh, this is what fresh tastes like?" (^_^)

People in the Ise suburbs should really give it a try once.

P.S. When I hear Ankoromochi, it makes me think of the Japanese folk tale...
